so we have three options right now:
1 - let collection owners 'write their own' descriptions if the ycan't include the common attribute
2 - backport the common attribute and collection owners have to specify a version of 2.9.x etc that includes it.
3 - create a mini compatibility collection that collection owners have to then depend on for 'some time to come'.
4. declare all standard attribute that doesn't use a docs fragment
