# Pastebin m2ZnebZj -- Twitter UPDATE (WED) -- Database migration is complete! We're in the process of squishing some persistent bugs and validating before the site can go live. -- https://twitter.com/SoulboundStudio/status/753357077624528896 **** -- Caspian UPDATE (TUE 6:06:06 PM) -- We've completed all migrations and have been doing internal testing all day. **** -- Caeoltoiri UPDATE (TUE 4:25PM PDT) -- Heh, okay. Hey everyone! We're chugging along and are going through the checklist for final sign-off on the website. It's been a wild ride these last few days and we're extremely grateful for all your guys' (and gals') support and patience thus far. To my immense relief, I've managed to convince Jeromy to hold off on giving a time (thank Angelica and Luna and all the Qin) on when the site is expected to go up, so we'll just say 'very soon(tm)'. **** -- Caeoltoiri UPDATE (TUE 2:00PM PDT) -- We're running through some intense internal testing right now. The database has been fully migrated, and we're working on stamping out some bugs. We're on the last bend -- Caeoltoiri **** UPDATE (MON 10:49pm PDT): Ok folks! It's been a long weekend, but we finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. Aside from two remaining issues which we'll deal with tomorrow, the site is feature-complete with what we want to release for v2.0. The site will go live tomorrow. In the meantime, here's a look at new forums. http://imgh.us/Forums.jpg **** Tori advised there has been an exception hit during their validation phase. Specifics not mentioned but it's gotta be fixed obviously before validation and testing can continue. **** UPDATE: (MON 17:30pm PDT) - We're almost done migrating the website, and are simultaneously working to get all small issues resolved. We do still have two larger issues outstanding: one being with the user messaging system, the other with the shopping cart. However, it's getting late, and we've kept the site down long enough. So, barring about 2 hours of validation and testing beginning around 6pm, we'll be bringing the site up this evening without user messaging or cart support. This will prevent users from private messaging one another, or from purchasing in our store (yet), however all other features of the site will be up, including the ability to bind your accounts to your Kickstarter account. **** UPDATE (SUN 11:45pm PDT): Hey folks, it's been two hard days of work for our little web team. The website is looking great and only has a few oustanding issues left. We look forward to joining you on the forums tomorrow, Monday, June 11th for us folks here in the US. As previously mentioned, shortly after the website goes live tomorrow you'll also receive an email which you can use to link your Kickstarter and CoE accounts. See you **** UPDATE: (SUN 22:14pm PDT) - Work continues on the data migration. Lots of data, and plenty of new complex relationships. **** UPDATE: (SUN 21:07pm PDT) - Data migration is going slower than we'd like. In addition to there being a metric crap-ton of data, much of the tables need to be re-mapped to the new schema. User Messages, for example, there are 442,181 user messages in the database **** Ok. Thanks all for hanging out in here. Hopefully it's not been too crazy. First, let me give you this to think about: http://imgh.us/accountLink.jpg Yep. That beautiful page, likely with improvements to the grammar, will be yours once the site comes back up. That's all that is required to bind your account from Kickstarter to the CoE Website. And, in the email we send out, if your on-site email address matches your Kickstarter email, you'll be able to fill out the form and submit it with a single button click. So there's that. As for the status update: TL;DR - Site's not done yet, and we don't anticipate it'll be done tonight. Look for the site to come back up tomorrow. Detailed: The website is a huge re-write for us and has undergone tons of work this weekend, thousands of unit code test as we make sure it's stable and ready for production in an environment where money changes hands. We've gotten the account management stuff worked out, but there's still more work to do with the site itself. Or rather, the store. Finally, the "web team" consists of me, Death, Adam, and at the moment TripNull, none of us are traditionally web developers. As a result, it's taking us longer than we'd like. However, we're taking the time to make sure it's done to the best of our abilities. And the four of us continue to be working pretty much non-stop to get the site finished up, tested, migrated, and ready to go. Also, it was suggested to me that as a "thank you" for your patience, you'll all receive some token to indicate you were here during the great website migration.. We don't yet know if that'll be a forum medal, or even something in-game. But we recognize this process has gone on longer than we'd have liked, and we really appreciate all those who recognize that being critical of us, or the fact we don't have dedicated web developers yet, really doesn't help anything. So thanks again for your patience. The website will be back online at some point tomorrow PDT. Do not feel the need to wait for it tonight. It'll be at least another 12 hours before the website goes live, so the four of us working on it have a chance to rest. Thanks!
