# Pastebin GSwmncEe Hello, please help; my Mac mini/Debian is unable to run GUI - from first half of December. I assume it's the new GPU - but it was installed automatically and stopped working suddenly (at my parents). 1. I followed Thomas Glanzmann's steps at https://thomas.glanzmann.de/asahi/README.txt. 2. I've upgraded MacOS to the current version. 3. Today, I upgraded the packages (I'm able to use the command line) - no change, however; GUI still doesn't come up and the message is the same. Strange thing is, however, that before Christmas, after one of my trials to make it work, the GUI actually started. But after restarting, I was back where I was and didn't figure out the cause :-/. The error msg is :...~ Failed to load ldm... When I say "dmesg | grep drm", the system responds : ...apple-drm soc:display-subsystem: Adding to iommu group 0 ... ...apple-drm soc:display-subsystem: [drm] Cannot find any crtc or sizes ...apple-drm soc:display-subsystem: [drm] fb0: appledrmfb frame budder device ... ...systemd[1] Finished Load Kernel Module drm When I try to run cinnamon from terminal, it ends with: mutter-WARNING ...:Failed to create backend: Unable to open display, DISPLAY not set.
