# Pastebin 6ss4t1Iv 11:58 AM <%red3> Alright, let's get into it. 11:59 AM This is very disjointed. More so then the last time I read this. However since I read, I guess, what happened to Omega-7 afterwards, it answers the question I had about how they wound up being like they are 12:00 PM <+cybersqyd> i didn't enjoy this 12:00 PM <+cybersqyd> on like. any level 12:00 PM <%red3> I liked the introduction of various SCPs from across the International spectrum, but their inclusion made the whole story feel weird. I wasn't sure where certain events took place in the timeline of everything. There's also little purpose for them being there other than keeping the subplot introduced in the previous article alive. 12:00 PM <+cybersqyd> yeah 12:00 PM <+cybersqyd> it feels like a lot of little parts that don't get enough time to do anything interesting 12:01 PM <+cybersqyd> except the main plot, which feels...unpleasant and of little interest 12:02 PM I feel like, if I was in charge, I'd get rid of the international skips and keep focus on the main action with Omega-7. But that's just me. 12:02 PM <%red3> This article in particular gave me a lot of Control vibes, especially with the description of the beast and the brutalist way it manipulates reality. I will say that I wasn't quite sure what was happening until everything was over. Whether that's a good or bad thing is another discussion, though. 12:02 PM You invited Lt_Flops to join #raisareviewteam 12:03 PM <+cybersqyd> I think the problem with that is that like....I don't really like Adrian/Beatrix as characters? 12:03 PM <%red3> ^ 12:03 PM <%red3> Somewhat. 12:03 PM <+cybersqyd> Or it's not so much "I dislike them" as "they feel super flat as people" 12:04 PM <%red3> I think that the article might know that, considering that their deaths aren't really elaborated on. The action is placed above all else and there's never really a moment where a character expresses their grief or their thoughts on death. 12:04 PM → Lt_Flops joined (uid300561@flipflo.ps) 12:05 PM <+cybersqyd> heya flops 12:05 PM hihi 12:05 PM Hmmm... I'm coming at this with information I read about Omega-7 and the aftermath of this event, so I guess I'm getting ahead of myself. I agree that Adrian is a flat character here but he had more personality in a different story (I believe it was written by the same author) 12:05 PM wow this is a cozy place 12:05 PM <+cybersqyd> :D 12:06 PM <%red3> Lt_Flops: We wanna keep it a little small so that we're never overwhelmed with people on each discussion. 12:06 PM makes sense 100% 12:08 PM <%red3> I'm not a fan of the ending. The relationship between Cain and Able was never a big factor in this story, so this may just be another case where the reader has to know the relationship beforehand to get anything out of this. The section right before that one, where the classic SCPs are referenced, also felt weird to me since I didn't see the significance of it. Yeah, Yellowstone turned from red to black, but what does 12:08 PM <%red3> that mean? To me, it just felt like a very shallow attempt to punch up the tension. 12:10 PM Hmmmm.... I'm gonna have to give this a Blue Downvote. I didn't particulary enjoy this kind of storytelling 12:10 PM <%red3> Does anyone have anything else they'd like to throw out about this? Or should we just move onto our final thoughts. 12:14 PM <%red3> I've already gotten out most of my thoughts on this already. I feel like this suffers most from not having background information on the characters, the action scenes are confusing and underwhelming, and the ending relies on a conflict that was never explained in the story. This is going to be a strong downvote from me.
