{"body":"## OpenStack Configuration\n\nOpenStack tracks contributions officially via [openstack.biterg.io](https://openstack.biterg.io/app/dashboards#/view/Overview). They track contribution by Organization -- we use \"G-Research\" as our normalized name. A legacy site, [Stackalytics](https://www.stackalytics.io/) is used by some people for statistics as well -- for GR-OSS purposes, we should always use Bitergia.\n\n> 📝 **Note**: If you don't anticipate contributing to OpenStack and/or do not have an OpenInfra ID, do not follow these steps. You can configure attribution later if neccessary.\n\n### OpenStack: Bitergia\n\nBitergia integrates with the OpenInfra ID profile and OpenStack profiles to get the metadata to track affiliation.\n\n1. Login to [OpenInfra Profile](https://id.openinfra.dev/accounts/user/profile) and ensure every email address you've ever used to commit to OpenStack is listed there. Multiple emails are supported, you are encouraged to list all you may ever use. If you need more than three email address fields, more can be added on request.\n2. Login to [OpenStack Profile](https://www.openstack.org/profile/) using the same OpenID. At the top of the page, you should see the email addresses added in step 1 (if not, log out and log back in). Under the \"Public Information\" section, find \"Affiliations\" -> Add New Affiliation, and set your affiliation to \"G-Research\". You should indicate the date you started work at G-Research as the start date. Ensure if you contributed under a previous employer to include the proper dates and information going back as far as neccessary. All other information in this profile is optional.\n\n## OpenStack: Stackalytics\n\nStackalytics attributions are governed by a config file, which can be edited directly via Gerrit code review.\n\n1. Checkout [Stackalytics](https://opendev.org/x/stackalytics)\n2. Create a change to `etc/default_data.json` using [Clif's change](https://review.opendev.org/c/x/stackalytics/+/393928) as an example. If you've ever contributed to OpenStack before, this may be an edit of an existing entry, similar to [Jay's change](https://review.opendev.org/c/x/stackalytics/+/842987). Either way, ensure all email addresses ever used to contribute to OpenStack are listed here. The company name for this is \"G-Resarch\" just as in the Bitergia case.\n\n> 📝 **Note**: Stackalytics is not an official OpenStack site and is offline frequently. Config changes merge on an extremely slow schedule. Do not worry if your proposed patch does not merge.\n","name":"openstack-affiliation-configuration.md","extension":"md","url":"https://www.irccloud.com/pastebin/UHJiABNo/openstack-affiliation-configuration.md","modified":1768329113,"id":"UHJiABNo","size":2513,"lines":21,"own_paste":false,"theme":"","date":1768329113}
